I'm so excited about our first Christmas especially since Brian will just be getting home from Basic Training!

Brian just finished BEAST which is where they set up a mock war and basically fight to "survive". It was cold and rainy pretty much the whole week. As of yesterday, he started Week 7 which is his last full week. He graduates BMT on Friday, December 18th and he will be home on the 23rd. I can't wait for him to be home! We're still not sure where his Tech School will be or for how long but we are hoping to find that out this week. I have already set up most of the Christmas decorations except for the ones I am saving for when Brian comes home which are the--

My First Post!

Hi!
Well, being a military family, it is hard to keep in touch with everyone and let them know what is new in our lives so I figured the easiest thing to do would be to let everyone know what is going on at once! My husband, Brian, is in the United States Air Force as of October of 2009. We are just beginning a very long journey in the military! We are excited about the changes to come with this new, crazy lifestyle. Brian and I have a relationship that is rock solid and I couldn't ask for a better man to call my husband. Over the last five years, we have learned so much about each other and are truly best friends. Even when he is far apart, he has become a part of me so it is like he is always with me. Our lives are beautifully intertwined forever.
A little about me: I have never experienced so much pride in my life until my husband enlisted in the Air Force. As scary and challenging as this life can and will be, it is the most rewarding life in the world and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I have already learned so much from my experience so far like to appreciate what I have in front of me and to cherish every single moment that we are given. I am a very strong person already and this is just making me stronger. The Air Force has helped me learn to look to God for answers in life and to rely on Him more because without God, I wouldn't be standing where I am today.
I hope that I can keep all of our family and friends updated on changes in our lives through this blog. Thank you for taking time out of your day to read our blog!
