Week Seven

November 25, 2011- December 1, 2011

We went the day after Thanksgiving to get pictures with Santa! I love Christmas and couldn't wait to see how Brinlee reacted to Santa. She seemed like she could careless. The awesome thing about going so early: There was NO line!

Then the following day was Brian's cousin Emily and her fiance, Eric's, wedding day! We had an amazing time and their wedding was beautiful. Fortunately Brinlee slept on the drive there and through the ceremony. Such a good baby!

 

Nov. 29- We have been doing tummy time on a fairly consistent basis and she is getting stronger and stronger every day! I'm sure that she will be rolling over soon. Although she is smiling in the picture, she typically hates tummy time.

Nov. 30- Daddy took a break from doing homework and decided to read a book to Brinlee, then I realized I had one of my fairy tale books from when I was little so we started reading Brinlee bedtime stories! I love reading to her and watching her expressions.

Dec. 1- I took some Pinterest inspired pictures of Brinlee! I love taking her picture and fortunately she doesn't seem to mind either.

Week Six

November 18, 2011- November 24, 2011

Brinlee had her First Thanksgiving this week so we went to Naples to be with Brian's family! She slept the whole 2 1/2 hour trip which was great and she hardly cried at all while we were there. I tried to keep her away from all the grabbing hands but one of our friends held her for a little bit so we could eat dinner together without getting interrupted. It was weird not having her by my side but it was nice for Brian and I to have a quiet dinner. I missed her the whole time though even though she was just in the other room.

Week Five

November 11, 2011- November 17, 2011

I took some pictures of Brinlee including with her Daddy's uniform on for Veteran's day while he was working! I think they came out pretty good and she is so fun to take pictures of!

I've seen some of the baby pictures where they put them in the box or basket so I found one and she hated it at first lol. She didn't cry but she was making funny faces at me and then she started trying to eat the blanket.

She is starting to smile responsively from time to time especially first thing in the morning.

We went back to church on the 13th which was also Brinlee's one month so afterward I took a bunch of pictures of her.

.... and we put up our Christmas tree already! What can I say, I love Christmas!

And we made her an ornament out of saltdough. I also made one of her footprints. She hated the whole process because I kept having to redo it because the dough was too sticky at first and she went straight to the bath when it was over. Very messy!

Brinlee is now ticklish! I accidently rubbed my hand against her rib and she started smiling so I started tickling her and she was smiling the whole time!

Week Four

November 4, 2011- November 10, 2011

Brinlee has started smiling a lot now. We also decided to check out Airfest at MacDill but we had to leave when the jets got too loud. We had fun looking at all the planes though. We realized that we had never put her in her crib at all since she is sleeping in our room so we decided to see what she thought. She seemed to like it but I'm not ready to put her in her own room.

Week Three

October 28, 2011- November 3, 2011

My husband finally had to go back to work on the 31st so I got to experience my first few days as a stay at home mom and student this week. I love it! My daughter is great! I took some pictures of her in her Halloween costume. For Brinlee's first Halloween, we just stayed in and carved/colored pumpkins together and I baked pumpkin seeds. Since the umbilical cord finally came off, she also experienced her first bath which she loved surprisingly! Parenthood is amazing!
